Welcome to our class blog!

We are a class of year 7 and 8 students who attend a semi-rural school on the outskirts of Tauranga in NZ. We are excited to share our experiences and learning at Tauriko School. Check back regularly to see what we have been up to. We have a load of fun in our class and would love to share it with you!

Warren Pohatu

This term we are looking at the Technology of the Māori. As part of this we will be visiting a local marae and are currently preparing ourselves by learning about protocol. We can't wait to look at the carvings and kowhaiwhai patterns - we are even going to make some of our own. We are reading books by Warren Pohatu. (We will soon be looking at his stunning art.)

Here are some interesting links to look at. More will be added as we go along so check back in case you miss something cool.
