Welcome to our class blog!

We are a class of year 7 and 8 students who attend a semi-rural school on the outskirts of Tauranga in NZ. We are excited to share our experiences and learning at Tauriko School. Check back regularly to see what we have been up to. We have a load of fun in our class and would love to share it with you!

Past Tense Verbs

We are learning to write recounts. We know that recounts are always in the past tense because they recount something that has already happened.

Some verbs have -ed on the end to show that the action happened in the past.

Today I wash. Yesterday I washed.
Today I clean. Yesterday I cleaned.

Can you come up with some past tense verbs ending in ed? Continue the chain by putting the previous verb into the past tense then adding a new link to the chain. The first few are done for you so you can see how it works.

Here's the first link in the chain: Today I jump.
