Check back regularly to see what we have been up to. We have a load of fun in our class and would love to share it with you!

Taupa Tumblers Rippa Rugby

Taupa Tumblers Rippa Rugby The combined team of Pyes Pa & Tauriko Year 3/4 (Taupa Tumblers) have been thoroughly enjoying playing Rippa rugby. They played against the St Mary's Avengers first and, despite a loss of 7-1, had a great time and didn't want to stop when the 30mins was up. Player of the day went to Otto who was like a speeding bullet scoring a great try. Otto was well supported by Mutu. They also had two fun games against very strong sides. The first game went 6-4 to the Tauriko Timebombs and the second game went 9-6 to the Selwyn Ridge Tornados. Player of the day was Rebekah who was very nippy on the field. Another star on the pitch has been Rawia (Lucas’s mum). She raced around coaching the children admirably as you can see in this action shot……

What a super game they had recently with their FIRST WIN; 8-7 against the Greenpark Crusaders. The team really spread out and tried to anticipate where their opponents might run. There were two players of the day: Emma for constantly harrying the Greenpark team, along with her great try. The other player was Giles who showed his thinking skills by holding back and waiting for Greenpark to break-away. The team has been really supporting each other well. Here is a team photo of all our superstars.
