Welcome to our class blog!

We are a class of year 7 and 8 students who attend a semi-rural school on the outskirts of Tauranga in NZ. We are excited to share our experiences and learning at Tauriko School. Check back regularly to see what we have been up to. We have a load of fun in our class and would love to share it with you!

Class Representatives - updated with results!

Congratulations to Danny who was selected by Room 6 to be their rep on the school council. It was a close finish with Zane following close behind. (Zane will be our back-up rep should Danny be unable to attend any meetings.) Vilah will record the minutes (take notes) at class meetings. Well done to all three students who put their names forward - what a superb group of people. Any one of you would be great at the job.

  1. I would like to be a class rep because I think I can be creative and I have lots of new ideas to make Tauriko School a fun place. I am happy to help with competitions between kids and teachers, to keep Tauriko's Got Talent going again this year and to have raffles to raise money for fun things for kids. It would be great to have a hut on the school field by the trees to play in and more sandpit toys.
I can speak clearly and confidently and I am happy to share all my classes ideas at the meetings. I will help Mrs te Whaiti run the class meeting.
I want to be a class rep cause I really want to grow to be a good leader and this will be good experience.
    Zane Davy

  2. I would love to be class rep because I have lots of creative ideas and I think I would make the school a better place. Apart from having creative ideas I am also good at listening to other people's ideas and not talking all day :).

  3. I think that I will be good because I am quite good at public speaking and also I am good at explaining and speaking to the class (even that it is embarising .) But I will be okay:).
