Welcome to our class blog!

We are a class of year 7 and 8 students who attend a semi-rural school on the outskirts of Tauranga in NZ. We are excited to share our experiences and learning at Tauriko School. Check back regularly to see what we have been up to. We have a load of fun in our class and would love to share it with you!

Inquiry Science

Today we were thinking like scientists. We were given some little bags full of random objects. We had to work in our teams to create something that represents the rock pool or something from a rock pool. We discussed our ideas, like scientists do, and brainstormed together. We then constructed our model and share it with others. The Inquiry Process is an important part of science. Scientists are always coming up with new questions. Good questions are at the beginning of all science experiments. Do you have any questions about rock pools or creatures from rock pools?
