Well, yesterday we had an unusual happening in Room 6 - 3 people were celebrating their birthdays at the same time! We usually sing Rā whānau ki a koe but when we thought about it we realised that this wasn't quite right...because it was more than one person.
We had a think and decided that if there were 2 people we might sing Rā whānau ki a kōrua.
In the end we decided that since there were 3 people we should sing Rā whānau ki a koutou...so we did!
Then Mrs Te Whaiti did the roll and asked each person, "E hia ō tau?" The boys had to answer differently from last week. Here's what they said last week:
Ethan: E waru aku tau.
Mutu: E whitu aku tau.
Jed: E rima aku tau.
What did they say when it was their turn yesterday?
E iwa aku tau
ReplyDeleteEthan:e iwa aka tau.
ReplyDeleteMutu:e waru aku tau.
Jed:e ono aku tau.
Ka mau te wehi, Vilah!
DeleteWe missed you yesterday while you were away at the funeral. Was it a tangi?
