Welcome to our class blog!

We are a class of year 7 and 8 students who attend a semi-rural school on the outskirts of Tauranga in NZ. We are excited to share our experiences and learning at Tauriko School. Check back regularly to see what we have been up to. We have a load of fun in our class and would love to share it with you!

Yesterday we got to experience something that happens very rarely - an eclipse. Jenny had some special glasses so we could check it out without damaging our eyes. We also had a look at the images produced by the pin cameras. It was amazing!

What is an eclipse? What did you notice around the time the eclipse was taking place?

  1. It was scray and it got darker.

  2. It looked scary.

  3. I thought that the eclipse was really cool because when you looked at the sun with some glasses on you could see the moon.
